I know, I love it too! There's an infamous alternative version of the tale, did you know? In this version of the story, Persephone secretly eats the 6 pomegranate seeds deliberately because being with Hades, she realized that in the normal world of the Olympians, she's only a very minor diety (spring) constantly drawing her power from her mother Demeter (all seasons) where as in Hades, she would be queen of the underworld. Personally, I love that version because it's a lot more dark and devious and ambitious-- it sort of inspired this artwork too.. I was originally going to call it, to serve in heaven or "...to Rule in Hell."
Thanks Keiren! The long short of it is that I do almost the whole thing in painter, but I adjust the hue-sat and knock out the lineart in photoshop because it's less clunky than painter in those areas. We'll definitely have to catch up when I move in-- hopefully some time soon!
